DALI-2 is the IEC 62386 digital, two-way lighting-control standard in which every device is individually addressable and certified by the DALI Alliance. Certification replaced manufacturer self-declaration, delivering verified multi-vendor interoperability, and DALI-2 gateways connect lighting to building management systems such as BACnet/IP.
Certification is the lead story: DALI-2 replaced self-declaration with DALI Alliance testing, which is the lock-in counter-argument behind the navigator role. Gateways connect DALI-2 lighting to BACnet/IP building systems.
